In 2007 when KCF and Trust Committee Board members met with the local chiefs and members of the Masai community, it came to our attention that there was not good meeting place in the surrounding environs. The women were asking us to provide classes in horticulture, animal husbandry, AIDS prevention, basic literacy and so on. We were willing to provide this service, but there was no place to hold the classes.
After much discussion it was decided that we would provide a very simple center for this purpose. In early 2009 construction was begun. Already it has been used for several meetings including graduation ceremonies for students from the local schools.
