Background: Purity is a lovely seventeen-year-old young lady. She
was born in the slums of Nairobi of two young adults
who had themselves grown up on the same streets.
Both her parents were very cruel. It is known that
her mother once beat one of Purity’s siblings to death. At one time, the mother lived in a small one room shanty, but she preferred life in the streets, so she left. At that time, Purity left for the streets herself. Eventually she made her way to Meru and was admitted to the Children’s Home in April 2002. Her sister, Fridah Kendi, has also been admitted to the Home.
Education: Purity is currently in the 8th grade at
Mwithumwiru Primary School.
