Background: Douglas
is 19 years old. His mother passed away when he was
4 years old. They lived in the Majengo slums next to
Meru town. He was left in the hands of his 3 older
sisters and his grandmother. The grandmother was unable
to feed them and they ended up living on the streets.
They occasionally visited Kaaga Methodist Church for
feeding, which is where they were recruited to the
MCK Meru Children’s Home.
Education: He is currently in the 11th grade at Nkubu Boy's School. He started school
in 2001.
Douglas’s class work is commendable; he is hard working and a fast thinker!
Hobbies: His hobbies include playing
soccer and reading.
